Valencia, Spain summer of 2014

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK
After several years of retirement, I decided to take up watercolour painting. Inspiration for my first painting came from the ancient Native American legend that the sea turtle is a symbol of protection and longevity, used to welcome my very precious nephew, Max, to our family in April 2015.
I was then encouraged and inspired by Neil Macdonald, who runs a brilliant art class from his home and studio in Kirkintilloch.
Inspiration has also come from my many travels, from swimming with penguins off the coast of South Africa, doing a fantastic Australian road trip with my sister (seeing many icons of wildlife along the way) to driving the third highest road in Britain (Bealach na Ba in Wester Ross) with my daughter this summer. I am privileged to live in the most scenic, wild country and love to visit the remote parts of Scotland.
